Magenta & Melon

May 24, 2012

The last day of vacation is always bittersweet. I try not to dwell on the fact it’s the last day in paradise before being tossed back into reality the following day, but it can be challenging. We spent our last full day soaking up every last little bit of sun before heading to Truluck’s for dinner.

Dinner was PHENOM. Lobster bisque, garlic mashed potatoes, a juicy filet, mushrooms, green beans, carrot cake with butterscotch sauce, and one giant, decadent slice of chocolate cake. Needless to say, the skinny belt came off during dinner. I wish I was kidding… Here’s proof.

Dress: Old Navy – on sale!// Glitter Belt: J.Crew – on sale! // Platinum Espadrilles: Sperry Top-Sider (They also come in a flat version!) // Cobalt Clutch: Akira (birthday gift from Megan H!) // Gold Bracelet: Sequin // Toes: Essie ‘Trophy Wife’ // Nails: OPI Gel Color ‘Strawberry Margarita’

And our usual after-dinner pictures… Notice my lack of gold, glittery belt. I tried to put my belt back on after dinner and I honestly couldn’t get it to fasten. #embarrassing #stuffed

I had such a fabulous vacation, girls! Can’t wait until the next one. 🙂

You look gorgeous – love the colors of that dress and the belt gives it some shape! Totally don’t blame you for taking it off, though – I’ve been known to do that too 🙂

This dress is awesome on you! All my favorite maxi dresses come from Old Navy! I kinda want to buy this one now too.

Noticed that this was kid’s belt. What size did you end up picking?

It’s a L in Crew Cuts. Hence why it only fits around my smallest part… 🙂

Love love love that dress. I never would have guessed it’s a ON dress, they have stopped up their game. I think I may have to add it to the closet . . .how tall are you . I’m a shortie at 5’2 so not sure how this would work. Great blog too by the way.
