Back to Black
I came home to the Spring 2012 Restoration Hardware catalog on my bed so I had to do a quick flip-through. I know I’ll have drooled through the entire thing by the weekend… everything is just so gorgeous! Looking through the catalog is like spending an hour on Pinterest fantasizing about my future home. (Not like I do this often or anything…)
I’ve been experimenting with color so much lately that I kind of forgot about my first love… black. Once I decided I was going to wear black yesterday, I had a bit of an eye-opening experience… I realized my black top selection wasn’t very large. (Ground breaking discovery, I know. :) ) I was kind of confused and thinking, “Do I have tops at the dry cleaner?” and then I realized that I just don’t have much black. If I’m shopping and a top comes in multiple colors, I tend to lean towards black. I then convince myself to buy a different color because black seems “safe.” I tell myself that I already have “too much black,” but I really don’t. Well, I’m putting my foot down… I kind of don’t care if it’s safe because I like black. And that’s all that matters.
I paired my basic black tee with gold jewelry and leopard flats. Super easy, but a classic combination. Obviously had to show you the newest addition to my handbag collection! I went with the all-leather J.Crew Tillary Tote (discussed here). It’s my new baby. Jo gasped and said “Is that Celine?!” when she first saw it. I wish, but it will do for now!
